G4C Yorkshire & Humber Awards 2021
On March 6th 2020, the G4C Yorkshire and Humber Awards took place in an exciting and new location. The night was one many people still reminisce about, the amazing food, brilliant entertainment and the fantastic turn out of nominees and worthy winners! No one could have predicted that this may have been the last night out for a long while as two weeks after the event we all entered a national lockdown due to the Corona Virus Pandemic.
The past 10 months have been a difficult and unprecedented time for everyone. While other industries have been shut down, the construction industry was asked to rise to the challenge and keep pushing on. Many people have adapted to work from home, whilst construction sites had to quickly adapt to protect the workers. The new norm of communicating with you colleagues is through a computer screen, the pandemic has changed a lot of things we used to do but G4C is determined to ensure our changes are for the better.

We have held off with organising the awards as these times are still very uncertain, so we have made the decision to move the awards to Friday 1st October 2021. We are hopeful that by October we will be able to meet in person and celebrate together. If however circumstance mean that the awards will have to be virtual, then arrangements will be made to ensure the Awards are still as special as they always have been. This decision will be assessed closer to the time and all sponsorship will be transferred over to the following year and discounted.
Even during a global pandemic, we believe that young professionals deserve to be recognised and to celebrate their achievements so far. These awards provide an exclusive opportunity for Yorkshire and Humber to showcase outstanding talent and reveal our future leaders of the construction industry.
The awards not only recognise the individuals, but also the companies who support, mentor and shape their young professional development. G4C believes in collaboration and diversity so the awards are open to people throughout all of the construction industry sectors.
