On Wednesday 25th January, the Constructing Excellence Annual Conference took place. The event was attended by a range of industry professionals who came together to explore the theme of Thriving Through Uncertainty.

Andreea joined the panel on Scaling Up Innovation and Technology and shared insight into the industry’s problem with collecting data that goes unused and using software that doesn’t integrate well. This means that data sharing becomes difficult and fragmented rather than enabling the sharing of information and allowing for improvements across the construction sector.

Lydia spoke at the panel on Embracing a Culture the Allows People and Organisations to Thrive. She shared her own experiences within the industry and identified the need for a better understanding of diversity and inclusion across construction. She recognised how her employer’s support enabled her to solve any problems and continue to progress in her career. This employer/employee trust is key to improvements within this area.
